Video ads and explainers for small businesses.
A short film that shows people what you do, for social media or your website, with no filming needed.
USD 650 for one finished film, up to 60 seconds. I'm Matt Wills, a former creative director at Dark Horse Comics. I write the script, make the film with AI tools and edit it. You approve the script before I start.
A membership film I made for British Club Bangkok, from the club's own photos, with titles and music.
Two more films: one for a product, one for an idea.
Elenka, an app for trainee surgeons
An advert that follows a doctor through a night shift, with the app on screen. The doctor and hospital scenes are AI-generated. Narration and captions throughout.
How the genetic code began
A narrated explainer of a theory by Peter Wills, a biophysicist at the University of Auckland, and Charles Carter, a biochemist at the University of North Carolina. Captions and drawn illustrations throughout. At 100 seconds, it's longer than the USD 650 film.
What you get for USD 650.
One film up to 60 seconds, for one audience, in one style and one size.
Round one is on the script and a few still images showing the look, before I make the film. Round two is on the first version of the film.
A round is one set of notes, sent together by one person. If something's my mistake, I fix it without using up a round.
Extras, priced up front
- A second size, for example tall and wideUSD 95
- A 15-second versionUSD 125
- Another language, with captions and an AI voiceUSD 150
- An extra round of changesUSD 95
Quoted before you commit: a human voice, filming, expert fact-checking, complex animation, starting again after the script is approved, and the working files.
You approve the script before I make the film.
Most films take about a week. What changes that most is how quickly notes and approvals come back.
I'm Matt Wills.
I'm based in Bangkok. Before this, I spent over ten years in design for entertainment brands: creative director at Dark Horse Comics, around a thousand products for a theme park's opening, and licensed products with Marvel, Warner Bros and DreamWorks.
Now I make films with AI tools. I plan each one, direct it and check every version before you see it. You work with me directly, from the first message to the finished film.
Questions about the films.
Is the film made with AI?
Yes. The pictures, the motion and the optional narration voice are made with AI tools. Where you have real photos, video or a logo, I use them.
Will my products and people look right?
Your logo and any wording come from your own files, placed on top rather than redrawn by AI. Your products start from your own photos. If a scene needs people and you don't have photos of them, AI can make them. They aren't real, so you decide whether your film uses them.
What do I need to send you?
Who the film is for, what they should do after watching, where you'll post it and your deadline. Add any photos, video, logo or brand guide you have. Only send facts you're sure of, and material you're allowed to use.
Who checks the facts?
You do. You approve the script before I make the film, so it only says what you've signed off. If the subject needs an expert to check it, as a science film might, I'll quote for that separately.
What if I don't like the film?
You see the script and still images before I make anything, so we agree the look early. If the first version misses, your second round of changes is there for that. Starting again after the script is approved is priced separately.
Can I use the film in paid ads?
Yes. The pictures, motion, voice and music I create for your film are AI-generated and royalty-free, so you can use it in paid ads, on your website and on social media. The one exception is anything you send me, like your own photos or music, which needs to be yours to use.
How long does a film take?
Usually about a week. Once I have everything I need, I can commit to a week, as long as notes and approvals come back quickly.
Tell me what you need a film for.
Who needs to watch it, and what should they do afterwards? I'll tell you whether the USD 650 film fits, or what else it would cost.
